Which source, knowledge gained from experience and knowledge gained from books, is more important? When faced with the decision of these two choices, the majority would support that knowledge from experience which is directly concluded and obtained by them, is more essential. Nevertheless, as for me, I would rather vote for the other one and the reasons why I think so are listed as follows.

The most significant reason for my penchant is that books, while experience can also provide knowledge to us, prevent us from involving in an endless problem that is unnecessary. For example, once when my mother was cooking some dumplings, she had to try a dumpling every few minutes because she did not know how a dumpling was called ready to eat. When the meal was done, she was full already and did not have the appetite to eat any more. If she had had referred to a recipe, she would have got rid of this problem easily.

Also, books not liking experience, can give you a great deal of knowledge in a short time period especially today when man is caught in a race against clock. So that’s why many large companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, are sending their employees to have MBA courses in wold-famouse Business Schools.

Besides obtaining knowledge from books takes less time, to some extent, it can save us some time to explore in a more advanced problem which cannot be solved by books we now have. And this will surely help improve our society.

All in all, from the factors I have just outlined: avoiding being involved in an unnecessary problem, learning knowledge in a short time and saving time for a more advanced trouble, we may reach the conclusion that knowledge gained from books is much more important.
