Whether parents or other adult relatives should make important decisions for their older teenage children is a prevalent topic undergoing serious debate.
Some might think that these teens are mature enough to make any decision by themselves. On the other hand, some might think that the teens do not have enough ability on the judgment of making a correct decision at this age stage. After pondering it from several aspects, i strongly believe that the adults should make important decisions for their children.
To begin with, the teenages do not have enough experience. As we know, adults have much social and life experiece. They can have a clearer picture of the drawbacks and benefits of the decision than the teens do. For example, if the teens want to get marry in the age of 18, the adults should reject they decision because they truly understand that marriage in the early age stage might cause lots of family problems, such as financial problem. The teens are not able to earn their life and support their family.
Secondly, most important decision should be based on the financail support. For instant, it is a big decision for the teenages to study abroad. However, the idea is not practical if they do not have enough financial support. Therefore, parents or relatives should make this important decision for their children. For example, what is the drawback of getting study in the oversea or which universities they should choose.
In conclusion, the teens do not have enough experiences and always rely on their parent`s financial support. Therefore, i strongly devote that the adults should make any important decision for they teenage children.
