What people are successful? Some people believe that Only people who earn a lot of money are successful. In my opinion, I disagree with this statement because besides money one earns, one`s achivements include a lot of more things. One can know it from concrete examples.
On one hand, a lot of people in the world are sucessful, but they do not earn a lot of money. Besides businessmen, there are so many great careers such as scientist, tearcher, peace-workers, politician, artist and so on. Admittedly, people work in them and make great achievements but money. For example, Yuan Heping, a famous rice researcher who make it possible to feed billions people in China by by his rice research, is honored by state for his contribution, although his wage is the same as ours. Moreover, there are always pioneers who break into new fields and make a great achievement without being recognized. Vincent Van Goph, a famous artist, is successful. Though his pictures is worth of millions Dollar, he lived in poverish when he was living.
On the other hand, enumours people who earn a lot of money are not successful, moreover some of them are lossers. In any time, there are people who are lucky because they can inherit fortune and ranks from their precedents. They operate a great deal of money and earn a lot of money. They can not be labled with success. Maybe some of them make their farthers` business corrupt. For example, eatons. We grant the first generation of eatons is successful because they set up the business expire from a convenient store. But their sons didn`t know how to operate it and made it fall into plight and finally the whole company was cleared. They are really unsuccessful more than successful though they still earn a lot of money from their fortune.
Finally, admittedly most of people are successful as well as they earn a lot of money. Not only they do not contribute their success to money they earn, but also people think they are successful because of their contribution in other eares. For example, Bill Killington is successful. He can earn a million Dollar just from one hour`s speach. But people know him because he is former president of USA and under his contribution, American economy was prosperours unprecedentedly.
In short, money can not use to weigh a person`s whole value and achievement. So I disagree that only people who earn a lot of money are successful.
