The above statement argues that it is better for children to grow in the countryside than in a big city. However, I disagree with the statement due to some reasons.
First of all, children enjoy better education environment in big cities. The big cities make up of the most advanced parts of a nation, and the schools there can learn about and adapt to the latest abroad education method and idea, thus become more closely connected to the world. Moreover, the schools in big cities can afford to the expensive facilities and prominent faculty that will determine the education quaility to some degree. In China, all high schools in big cities can provide their students with classes about information technology while countryside schools cannot buy a computer, living in big cities will no doubt offer children better education environment.
Secondly, children can learn more things in big cities than in countryside. It is now common for children in Shanghai, th biggest city in China, to attend some classes about musical intruments such as piano, violin, and saxphone. There are two fundemental reasons for this trend. First, there are a number of competent teachers available, either professors in conservatory or retired instrumentalists. Second, the average high salaries in big cities ensure that parents can afford the high tuition. Thus children in big cities may become more versatile when compared to children in countryside, and the versatility sometimes may play an important role with the concern that many universities enroll students with special abilities for a relatively low score reqiurement.
Thirdly, chilren have more chances to communicate with others in big cities. Big cities are more densed than countryside so children will have more opportunities to communicate with other people and to access to the real society. Some people may argue that this is a kind of prematureness, but in my view, this will help them to handle things in further times. After all, a self-closed style that may be fostered in the isaolated countryside may be more harmful.
In brief, living in big cities will offer children more chances to recieve fgood esucation,to learn other things and to access to real society, so it is preferable for children to groe in a big city than in countryside.
