Some people say that because of the television, the communication among friends and family is destroyed. As far as I am concerned, I disagree with that idea. There are a lot of factors that support my opinion and I would explore a few of the most important ones here.

The main reason for my propensity is that TV program offer good topics for talk among friends and family. Take me for example, I often chat with my colleagues about a TV play showed the day before during the break. We all feel good when we all remember some details that are funny or serious. If something is interesting, we let others know it and suggest them watching it. If something is serious and deserves thinking, we try to figure something that may benefit us out of it. Television really affords us a great variety of topics to talk, thus improve the feelings among friends and family.

What is also worth noticing fact is that friends or the whole family could sit together to watch TV and use this as reunion. Friends or family members may talk with each other as they watch TV. For example, when we Chinese celebrate our new year, family members or friends often sit before TV and watch the evening held by the TV station. We are all kind to others and wish others good new year. These activities always improve the relations among friends and family members and promote the communication among them. It is TV that brings us the chance to do these activities.

Although someone may say that because of watching TV, many people are absorbed in TV and pay less attention to other people. I believe after they watch TV, they surely come back to the world and communicate with friends and family members no less frequently than before. Taking into account of all factors mentioned above, we may reach the conclusion that watching TV helps the communications among friends and family members.
