Society and rituals: an analogy

Rituals and ceremonies have been an outcome of feelings of people.
Being in trouble, gave birth to prayers in the form of spiritual ceremonies.
Feeling of happiness like marriage or birth of a child, burgeoned rituals to be performed for a good future ahead.
These have been prevalent in the society since ages.
they have been passed on from one generation to the next, sometimes even without a reason.
God created us as humans and not groups of people or different societies for that matter.
It is us who have given birth to these rituals and ceremonies characteristic to particular group of people.

However, these rituals and ceremonies have now taken deep roots in our lives.
They have become the central part of our so called societies.
Earlier, these rituals and ceremonies did have reasons with them but now since they have just been inherited, there are no known reasons for performing some of them.
And thus, societies or groups of people have made them a pivot. A thing by which everyone knows the society as such.
They have become the identity of society.
if you are a Christian, you need to marry in a church. That is the ritual Christians need to follow else they will not be identified as one.

It has become necessary for each individual in a society to follow the rituals and ceremonies specific to their group in order to remain a part of it.
In order to show the world, the existence of their society, they just have to follow the rituals irrespective of the fact whether they are necessary or not.
