Should business hire employees for their entire lives? It seems, in so many items ,very difficult to prefer one
Should business hire employees for their entire lives? It seems, in so many items ,very difficult to prefer one to another because both the choice has item advantages and disadvantages to some extent and it is hard to distinguish. To be frank if I am the leader of a business company, I will choose not to hire employees for their entire lives and the reasons are given as follows.
First ,it promote the competition among the employees in the company. Everyone of them has to fight for his survival in the company. if you do not work hard ,maybe someday the one sitting in front of your desk will be someone else. This obviously prove the employee’s efficiency and somehow diminish their sense of job security, which will surely do good to the development of the business.
Second, the company can have more selections if they do not hire the employees for their entire life. The manager can easily cease the employment relationship at the expiration of the contract if he find someone more applicable for the job. Always having fresh blood joining the company will keep it moving towards and this is benefit for those with high abilities to exert their talent more sufficiently.
Third, this measure the same beneficial to the employees in the company. For anyone who dose not satisfied with the job, he also can easily take his leave when the contract expired. This is to say, the employees gain the same freedom to choose whether to work for the company any more. It sill not limit the employee’s space of further development. For I think the job selection is something to the both sides.
Yet someone may argue that if business hire the employees for their entire life they will pay greater homage to the company because they do not have to worry if today’s position can still be his at tomorrow, and, what is more, the company will be more stable without the frequent employee mobilization.
However, as far as I am concerned, at the risk of being too frank, I still insist that the business should not hire the employees for their entire life for all the reason above.
