Although it is true that daily exercise can increase people's health and longevity but this author's argument does not make a good case .The studies used by author to come to conclusion are not lucid in their scope and validity. For example, study may have included buildings where most of the people may perform some kind of exercises other than stairs. Additionally study does not indicate the proportion of people, who are living in buildings with both stairs and elevators, who use only stairs and vice versa. Also the study does not refer to the prior health conditions of the residents of both kinds of buildings. We are not aware as to whether the study took into account the current living habits of residents.Untill the study is clear on all such points it cannot be used to back author's argument.
