In this argument, the author concludes that we should invest our resources in unmanned space flight because it is safer and less expensive than a manned space flight. While it is possible that this proposal should find support from not only the reader but the authorities as well, yet the author's argument depends on certain assumptions that may or may not be valid. More research is needed to validate these assumptions and to bolster the strength of this argument.

Grocery Town Argument

The regional manager at Grocery Town asserts that the 'high-low' pricing policy at the store in Elm City resulted in increased profits and is proposing to switch to this policy from their current 'everyday low prices' policy at their store in Oak City in the expectation of similar results.However, many unstated assumptions , lack of evidence and vague terminology renders his argument highly implausible and unsubstantiated.
