The speaker argue that people in the age of television can learn as much by watching TV as they can by reading books, reading books is not important as it was. Although part of function of reading books is replaced by TV shows and programs, the main function, or rather the benefits of reading books is hardly compromised by the advent of TVs. And of course, there is much more that can learned from books than from the TV.

The dean of Foley college makes a recommendation to the president that by promising jobs to the students after their graduation will increase enrollment. And many of the administrators feel that this strategy is a way for Foley to compete against larger and more prestigious schools and to encourage students to begin preparing for careers as soon as they enter college.

A society is a group of people with dynamic rules, ideas and opinions that come from the people that make up that society. The well-being of society is enhanced when many of its people question authority, but only the condition that the body of authority shows respect for the opinions of the people and take into consideration while making policies and implementation. To ensure the well-being of society, the entire society must participate and be watchful of the governing body by constant questioning and demanding for reforms.
