Most significant influence on young adults

Which of the family or friends has the most significant influence on young adults? There are two possible attitudes toward the issue. Some claim that the family is the most important. On the other hand, others argue that the friends is. As far as I am concerned, I strongly believe that young adults are most influenced by the friend.

First of all, young adults learn a lot of things through their friends. Of course I admit that before going to the school children are taught many important things by their family. However, they learn communication skills or social skills, which are very important skills in living in the modern society, by interacting with others, especially their friends. They sometimes may have words with each other, but through such experiences they learn how to got along with others. It is difficult for the family to play these roles. This example clearly shows children learn a lot of things through their friends.

Second, young adults spend more time with their friends than their family. Some go to a cram school and study there till late. Others belong to a club team and practice sports everyday after claases. Evenmore I know a fifteen-year-old boy who lives by himself and makes both ends meet by working for a company. I think that as young adults grow, they become less dependent on their family and have more interactions with people except the family. As this example illustrates, young adults spend more time with their friends than their family.

In coclusion, for the reasons I mentioned above, I am convinced that young adults are most influenced by their friend. First of all, young adults learn a lot of things through their friends. Second, young adults spend more time with their friends than their family.
