Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources. Forest resource, one of the most important resources, is disappearing for several reasons.
The main reason is that human being overdeveloped this society. People use wood to build houses, make paper, and make all kinds of furniture. If you drive through those avenues, you can see many or most of the houses are made of wood. To build all the houses in a small town can make a small forest disappear. So how about the huge cities like Los Angeles or New York? It cannot be imagined that how many big or small forests disappeared only because of building those houses. Moreover, all the heavy daily newspapers are made from wood. Human being is forests` biggest enemy.
Another reason is that the wild fire destroyed a lot of forests. Wild fire usually cannot be stopped unless rain begins; so during dry days, wild fire may last months, causing big damages to the forest. Sometimes, wild fire is caused by nature; but sometimes, it is also caused by people`s careless activates, like smoking or firing for camping.
Furthermore, People have not planted enough trees to form forests. The number of the trees being chopped down is much larger than that of the trees being planted. Needless to say, a newly planted tree has to grow many years to be a big tree.
To slow down the pace of consuming forest, we should try our best to use new materials to build houses, to recycle these newspapers and to build more trees. We have to prevent us from using up the nature resources from now on; thus, our posterities will not blame us in the future.
