There are some people who disagree with the idea that people are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. However, I personally agree with this statement. In this essay I will present two reasons to support my opinion.
First and foremost, once people reach their targets, they will look for another target. People cannot live without new goals. For example, when I was a high school student, I was on the tennis team. Our initial goals was to win a regional tournament because we never won the tournament before. We did hard practices and finally won the tournament. However, we realized winning the regional tournament did not satisfy us. Our goal suddenly changed to win a national tournament. It was clear that we could focus on our practice when we headed for the same and higher goal in the team. If we stick with winning the regional tournament, our improvement would stop. As my tennis team example says, the people are never and should not be satisfied with what they have.
Second, people always want to see new things. For instance, when I was a high school student, I always wanted to go to a university in Tokyo, because I had never been to Tokyo before. I was living in a small village where most of people living there know about me. Tokyo was always my dream place. After 2 years have passed, however, I was already bored to live in Tokyo. My next goal switched to see foreign countries, so I traveled all over the world during the summer vacation in school. Eventually I went to a university in the U.S. for one year as a foreign exchange student. As my experience illustrates, the curiosity which people naturally have is endless.
In conclusion, I am definitely for the idea that people are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. I know there may be some people who disagree with my opinion. However, considering the two reasons I mentioned in the paragraphs above, I believe that people are naturally never satisfied what they have and look for new adventures.
