Many natural resources are disappearing on our planet every day. One of the most important resources we are destroying is clean water. We must realize that clean water is indispensable to life. All animals and plants need clean water. Clean water also can keep people health.
We all know there would be no life without water, but some people think water is plentiful enough, they can use as much as they like. In fact, about 2.5% of all the water on the earth`s surface is fresh water that can be used for cooking, drinking, farming and manufacturing. Because of the huge population and the rapid development of industry, water shortage has become very serious in many cities. If we did not save clean water, we would not develop our economy.
Without clean water, all of animals and plants will die. Humen beings don`t live in the world alone. According to the research, 14 billion pounds of garbage and chemical materials are dumped into the world`s oceans every year. These trash spilled into the ocean and kill many sea creatures every year. On the land, more and more soil have been polluted by the wast water. trees and grasses can not grow on these land, the land become desert. So we should save clean water, it will protect all animals and plants on the earth.
Dirty water can bring illness for us. In some parts of the world, peopel have not clean water, they have to drink dirty water. Because of this reason, there are many people death from dirty water every year. Although we have claen water to use in our life, this doesn`t guarantee that we will always have access to claen water, if we do not save clean water today.
Let us take on our responsibility for the world and our descendants. Cherish our oceans, cherish our lakes, cherish our rivers, and cherish every drop of water in our daily life.
