Admittedly, people cannot decide the place they are born. Someone may be born in the south of the earth, and others may be in the north. In the past, it was common to stay the area where people were born for their entire life. My grandfather was born in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, and stayed there for 90years. However, recently young people easily move to other places for their work or education. Some people say it is not ideal but others prefer this change. Which idea would be correct? Personally, I prefer to move to other cities during my life because it is fun and
Like my grandfather, I am also from Hokkaido in Japan. I spent 25 years there. After the graduation of the graduate school of Hokkaido University, I moved to Tsukuba, which is 100km north of Tokyo, for my work. In 2 years later, I was told to move to Osaka, which is 600km west of Tokyo. Thus, I moved several times in a short time period. Some of my friends say that is a pity, but I do not think so. This was a great experience for me as I could enjoy various kinds of activities in different cities. In Tsukuba, I enjoyed rock climbing. There is a famous rock area near the Tsukuba City, therefore I went there almost every weekend during the winter season. Osaka is famous for their comedy culture. Many young people are studying comedy in order to become a famous comedian. Hence I could enjoy high-quality comedies at the local events. People far from Osaka can never enjoy such experiences. If I stayed inside the Hokkaido, I could not have experienced those activities.
Furthermore, by moving to several cities people can choose the place where they live lest of their lives. Actually, my hometown Hokkaido is the most popular place for Japanese people. Now I proud of my beautiful hometown. However, before moving to other cities, I could not realize the beauty of this city. As others, including my mother, say, I felt Hokkaido is just a rural area of Japan. However, after moving to other cities, I found that Hokkaido is the best place of the Japan. The food is delicious, view is beautiful and climate is comfortable. Therefore, I would like to go back to my hometown in future. On the other hand, one of my friends from Hokkaido found that Osaka is the best place for her. Hence she decided to stay there for entire life. Thus, people can choose the place which is the best for them after moving to several cities. I feel if my mother could have a chance to move to other cities. If she experiences other areas, she might have changed the attitude of the area she was born.
In conclusion, currently, people have chances to leave the city where they were born. I believe people should use this to enjoy their lives. By using this chance, people can find the best place for them to live.Read more
