It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to

Views differ greatly when it comes to the issue whether it is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends.
Many people hold the opinion that making new friends is superior to opting for keeping old friends in many ways. Others, however, contradict that notion.
Depending on personal experiences, personality type and emotional concern, it has led me to conclude that keeping old friends is a endure way to keep our life vigorous. Here are some reasons why.

The first point of the argument that can be presented to support my position is that only old friends can know you deeply. Old friends familiar with your personality and know what you need without saying too much words. To cite an example, one of my old friend Jack always very thoughtful to me. It is not because of his sharp sensation but we have known each other for seven years. There is no better example than this to illustrate the strength of old friends are more valuable than new friends.

In addition, the reason for me to consider this argument to be right is not far to seek: only old friend may trust you absolutely every time. Because trust cannot be formed in a short time, only old friends can pass the test of trust over the time. To illustrate, let us consider that my friend, Jack, who can do some important things for me and I don’t have to worry about the quality of what he does. For instance, when sometimes I am busy, I will ask him to send the office mail for me. And he can always do things very well to fit my high standard. Therefore, we can know that only old friends can take all of your trust to help you. Old friends can save a lot of your time.

Of course, it may be true that new friends may do you some favor in some circumstances; nonetheless, this alone does not constitute a sufficient support to claim that new friends can handle the most important things for you for sure. To sum up, when the advantages and disadvantages are carefully compared, the conclusion is obvious that we can benefit a lot from our old friends rather than new friends. Hence, I strongly approve keeping old friends is more important than making new friends.
