The topic that whether it is better for children to choose jobs related their parent's jobs can be approached from several different angles due its complexity. The issue is widely debated in the world.
Proponents advocate that children's jobs are similar to their parents' jobs. With the aid of their parents, they, benefiting from their parents' experience, can not only gain more knowledge but also work well than other people. For instance, my friend, Chen-Yi-Hong, studied the music class in the college. Because his parents were musician, he always got the high scores in the music class. After he graduated from the college, he became a musician. Yesterday I saw him along with his parents performing on the concert hall, which receive appreciation and approval from the audience.
Opponents condemn that children's jobs and parents' job are the same. They carry huge burdens of the job from their parents, instead of appreciating their talent, letting them enjoy their interest. They would rather force their children to give up their favorite than develop their ability to specialize in their talent, which can deprive of their children's creation. For example, Wang-Xiao-Min, dedicated his life of the limited talent to doing the same job with their father who always compel him to be a dentist reluctantly, resulting his life that was always controlled by his father.
While advantages and disadvantages are coexisting in the topic, I, personally, appreciate that children choose the jobs that are very different from their parents' jobs, which furnish us with a wealth of chose, and liberate the burden of pressure from our parents, but I also believe that choosing the same job with their parents is preferable.Read more
