Some people think that the sacrifices are necessary for the energy conservation for the future generation and it's unrealistic for an individual nation to stand independently as international leader. Others think that giving up energy at this stage will drag them out of the competition, which is currently running among the nations.
This issue is a controversial one but a closer evaluation reveals that nations which are calming to be independent from non renewable resources are still using them to match the competition.
One reason is that the nation calming to be free from non renewable source are heavily using there transportation on these sources. For example, Country like US which is a developed country is still using gas as the main source for there vehicle. Car is considered to be a basic need in US and almost every family in US owns a car. Furthermore, the main means of transportation is by Road or Air where only nonrenewable source of energy is user. Clearly, it implies that the Leader nation itself are not taking the complete participation in energy consumption.
Second Reason is that the GDP, Gross Domestic Product of a country is more dependent upon the flow of the money which is directly proportional to the various industries of the country. To illustrate, industries like Information technology, Manufacturing, Agriculture etc are purely dependent on the energy consumption. To be stable in this competitive world one has to use all kinds of means. As a result, its very difficult for the industries to survive in these pressurizing situation without these source of power.
Perhaps the best reason which can explain the facade face of the nations is the alternate source of energy. These source of energy is not constant, cannot be trusted, and very weak in comparison to the non renewable source of energy. Moreover these source of energy is very much dependent on some other sources. Therefore it is unrealistic for the nations to stand individually in front of all as an International Leader.
In summary, while there are argument made for both sides of the issue, its is clear that the nations prefer to move along the pace or the current world situation so that they are not lacking behind in any sources and when the time is required for the steps to be taken they all together as worldwide will initiate the workaround the future generation.Read more
