"In an effort to improve our employees' productivity, we should implement electronic monitoring of employees' Internet use from their workstations. Employees who use the Internet from their workstations need to be identified and punished if we are to reduce the number of work hours spent on personal or recreational activities, such as shopping or playing games. By installing software to detect employees' Internet use on company computers, we can prevent employees from wasting time, foster a better work ethic at Climpson, and improve our overall profits. The author recommends that all of their hospitals should be supplied with UltraClean at all hand-washing stations to prevent serious patient infections. In order to support his recommedation, he cites a laboratory study and a test conducted in their hospital in Woekby to show the high-efficiency of UltraClean. It is understandable for the author to show the concern of reducing the infections in their hospital, though, the auhtor's recommendation relies on a number of assumptions remianing unexamined, which would play a role of undermining his recommendation.

To begin with, the author lacks the evidence to illustrate the reliability of the laboratory study. It seems attractive that UltraClean can reduce forty percent more bacteria population according to the study. But we know nothing about who conducted the study and whether there can be other factors contributing to the consequence. What if the study aims to advertise for the UltraClean? That is to say, the integrity and honesty of the study should be questioned if this is the case. Even though there is no doubt in its honesty, we also have to consider other factors concerning the laboratory's environment. The UltraClean appearing to be high-efficient in laboratory dose not resemble it can have the same effcet when applied in reality.

Besides, the author's recommendation rest on the assmption that all of their hospitals have the same conditions. Actually this anology is not tennacious at all. Probably the evironment of the hospital in Workby has a better environment which plays a much more important role in resisting bacteria. So that the performance of UltraClean in the hopspital of Workby cannot be expected to be the same in other hospitals. Also, patients in diffrent areas also have different immune system. It is unfair for the author to neglect such factors when taking accout of the performance of UltraClean.

Further, even though the UltraClean proves to be high-efficient, another assumtion is that UltraClean has no side effects at all. However, the author proviedes us with nothing to show this character. Since the UltraClean is recommended to be applied in the hospitals, it matters a lot for the author to take account of its side effects. In additon, the author still has to figure out whether this UltraClean is the best product to recommend.

In conclusion, the author's recommendation rest on a number of assumptions that should be examined such as the reliability of the laboratory study, whether all the hospitals has same environmental conditons, and wheter UltraClean has side effects. Only when all of the assumptions discussed above prove to be positive can the author have his recommendation more convincing.
