Creativity and society Score: 4.5 May 6th, 2016 by findscore.com

As Mihaly claims that for creativity, there are three different parts of it, the Cultural Context, the Social Context and the Individual Context. And there are many small sections under each of them.

For the first one,the Cultural Context, he believes that memes include the instruction and the action, but it doesn't involve the change. And where the change happens, the creativity happens. In this part, there are two small sections of it, which are A: the Cultures as a Set Domain and B:the Role of the Domain in the Creative Process. For section A, the Set usually means the knowledge, the tools, the values and the practices.

For the Social Context part, he claims that validation changes originally to creativity. And innovation happens when society is receptive. There are also two separated sections of this part, the Societal conditions relevant creativity and the Role of the field. For the second section the role it usually hold by the gatekeepers, and the community of practice.

at there are many accesses to reach the domain. Just like the motivation, the knowledge, the ability to convince, stumbling on new phenomena and so on. Also he introduced this part in two sections, the Background of a Creative individual and the Personal qualities. For the personal qualities, it usually count the genetic makeup, the talents and the experience.

During the whole passage, we can see that Mihaly not only explain the creativity clearly, but there are also clear connections between each part. For example, cultural to social and vice versa: evaluates innovations an retain selected one. And cultural to individual and vice versa: transmits the existing body knowledge. The logical writing and the structure of the passage should be what we will learned about in the future.
