I disagree with the statement that classmates are more significant influence than parents. Some people may argue that friends in the same class are able to affect well due to the fact that one can communicate with his/her fiends in relatively same level; however, in my view, I am convinced that parents have much more chances to influence their children than classmates do. The reason goes as follows.

First of all, it goes nothing without saying that parents can spend more time with their children than classmates do. Besides, as a person grow, he or she should face many opportunities to meet new friends and classmates. In short, his or her classmates change. On the other hand, parents cannot be altered for their children.

In addition, it is said in Japan that the soul that three-year-old child have has not changed until one die, and I think that is true. Where I live, in Japan, all children under three-year-old do not go to school or kindergarten; their main characters are created by chiefly the treatment of their parents, and the characters are kept permanently.

Another reason is that the position between parents and classmates is quite different. Parents are capable to control their children`s way of thinking and lives even though almost all classmates cannot do same things. For example, my brother did not chose mathematical course but literal one, whereas he liked mathematics because of my mother`s misunderstanding that he was not good at mathematics. Since she always said that he was not good at mathematics, he made a choice to go to a literal course in high school.

In conclusion, compared to classmates, parents are far more important for a child to grow up because of mainly two factors: time and position. While classmates have other advantages to affecting, I believe that parents play a great deal role in growing their child.
