For most businesses the salaries which they pay to their workers is the largest expence, therefore, it is critical for businesses and organizations to choice between someone with experience and inexperienced person . Both these alternatives have their advantages and disadvantages and thus, in my opinion employer needs to find a right balance between these two available options.
Employee with significant amount of experience is potentially could bring company much higher profit in a short term than someone who just graduated from school and dose not have any actual work experience. Although, there is also a certain implications of this decision which every employer inevitably has to face. And the most significant is the higer cost of the experienced employees. For example, in some industries the difference between these two types of workers could be as high as three or four times; it is especially common in whireless technology industry.
On the other hand, there is an always an alternatives for employer to hire someone who just graduated from college or university and hasn`t gain a work experience yet. In this case it usually leaves the employer with lower performance but greater discount in terms of labor cost. Also someone who just graduated might be a better choice for employers who seeking a long term relationship whith their employees. For instance, someone who graduated in his mid twentieth has almost forty years to excel in his career and potentially bring it to the higher level than someone who is already in his fortieth, and thus does not have the advantage of time on his side.
Considering the above points, I think that the best solution for businesses is to find the right proportion of experienced employees and inexperienced ones in their work forces.
