Although some people prefer an experienced worker with high salary, I would like to employ a worker who don’t have enough experience with a lower salary because of the following reasons.
First, the labor cost of an inexperienced worker is cheaper. Payments for employees occupy the large part of the total costs of enterprises in the modern society. For example, when I worked at the restaurant, the owner was always stressed about how to reduce money for labor power because the cost tended to become larger than the level that the owner expected. Thus, reducing a total cost by cutting payments down is very appealing to employers.
Second, it doesn’t take too long for people who don’t know about the work to remember how to work. Though if you want to use them for skilled work it would be long to grow them as skilled workers, if you assign an easy works to those workers by using easy manuals it would be very easy to let them remind the working process. So you don’t need to consider deeply about the lack of knowledge of them because they will become skilled workers soon.
Third, inexperienced workers might be more motivated than experienced workers. Generally speaking, people who don’t know about something are more likely to feel interested in it. From this point of view, inexperienced workers feel more motivated than workers who aren’t inexperienced. For instance, when I was an university student, I got a job in a clamming school. At first, I was really eager to teach my students but as time passed, my mitivation perished. So hiring an inexperienced worker may be good choice if you desire passionate persons.
In conclusion, I totaly agree with the idea that hiring an inexperienced worker is better choice than an experienced worker. All I mentioned above supports this thought, so I would really want to get them in my office if I were a manager.
