The presonality of the modern communication facilities highly depends on the way we use them. These sort of communications can be used in a very personal way or in a general manner, as we wish. It is because that the companies who provide communication products for us are attempting to gain the maximum profit by making their products multi-tasking.
First of all, emails and modern telephones can be utilized for communicating to an enormous number of people. For instance, social email groups are among such equipment that make contacting people more convenient than before. In adittion, internet telephone companies make as able to join a what is called "telephone conference". In virtue of these products we can share a lot of information such as pictures, stories and etc with many people if they are also eager to contact us in this way.
On the other hand, email and telephone have a personal aspect of capabalities which in my opinion, not only do enable us to have personal communications but also they respect the privacy of our shared information more than before. A deciding factor for any customer who is intending to use a modern communication syatem is the extent to which this system provides security for our personal information. Therefore, any creditable company provides its system in a secure way to make them more appealing for consumers. For example, when we use email to contact an individual person our information are coded according to a particular protocol which ensures that nobody else can reach our email. In contrast, in the past people used ordinary letters which could be disclosed easily by anyone who contributes in the reception of letter in its way to destination.
In conclution, emails and telephones can make our communications more personal than the past if we prefer to use them in an associated way and benefit of this aspect of their capabilities. Moreover, they can also be used for public communication but this doesn't mean that they are less pesonal than before.
