Alternative forms of transport and international laws Score: 4.5 November 19th, 2017 by Alessandra

I am going to talk about the need for developing new transportation ways and the regulation of cars owners’ behavior and use.

First of all, finding a way to decrease the number of automobiles on the road is necessary to avoid the invasion of the four-wheeled vehicles. Therefore, we should think about the fact that only in (around) one hundred years, the number of cars is spread and it is multiplicated in millions of times.

In addition, I strongly believe that the compulsive use of cars is one of the main causes of global pollution. Nowadays, people are using to take cars even for crossing short distances, and this is negative not only for the environment but also for their own health. So, I think that encouraging the creation of new ways of transport is necessary for everyone. According to what I said before, I would like to give an example. So, I live in Rome and people use cars every day because public transport is not working as it should have. Indeed, Roman people find more comfortable being stuck in traffic jams than waiting for hours for the public transport.

Secondly, I think that there is the necessity of issuing international laws to control drivers’ behavior. In my opinion, as the environmental pollution is a global problem it should be solved among the international community and so, trough international laws. Furthermore, spreading of cars it is not only a British issue but also a global matter so it should find a global solution.
To sum up, after all factors being taken into consideration above, we can reach the conclusion that new ways of transport and global laws have to be found out.
