Thanks to the development of technology, the world has become a more and more convenient place. People can move faster by using cars, send emails to people living far and access various information through the Internet. Some people say that technology has brought us a single culture. However, I believe that technology has created many cultures rather than a single world. I have several reasons to support my opinion.
First and foremost, owing to technology, many cultures unite each other and new ones are emerging. There were not enough contact before the advancement of technology, but more and more cultures are influencing other ones. For instance, various kinds of music are now on the Internet. Music producers can access to music from other culture or different taste one easily. Some of them try to take other elements to their music and new music emerge. In my country, a singer started to use the rhythm of traditional Indian music in his song and that kind of music are now becoming popular. This happened thanks to the Internet and we can call it new culture.
Second, modern technology can save traditional cultures from disappearing. It is true that modern technology has strong impact on all over the world, it protects cultures already existed there rather break them. For instance, we can realize culture is not popular through the Internet or on TV. We would not have the chance to touch elaborate technic to make fabrics in the mountain area of China, if it were not for the Internet. Some people would like to preserve that great product and buy it or donate to that area.
In conclusion, our world will not be a single-cultured place if technology improves more. This is because technology has produced many new cultures and saved conventional cultures from disappearing.
