Can people be fulfilled with things which belong to them? There are two possible attitudes toward the issue. Some argue what people have cannot satisfy them. On the other hand, others claim people can live happily with what they have. As far as I am concerned, I strongly believe what people have never satisfies them for the following reasos.
First, new items are getting available one after another today. For example, two years ago I bought my smartphone, which is out of date now. There are few people who use the same model now. Many companies are struggling to make smartphones which have more functions than older ones because there is a lot of demand. In addition, having a brand new item is a kind of a status especially among younger generations. This example clearly illustrates new items are getting available one after another today.
Second, people tend to like what they don’t have. For instance, if a man has one car and his neighborhood has two ones, he wants to have two. This is always true even if he doesn’t need two cars in fact. I have a similar experience. When I was a child, my mother bought me a TV game. Although I really enjoyed that, as soon as I knew that a friend of mine had a different type of TV game, I was anxious about that TV game. I think this is because human beings are social animal. Anyway, as this example shows people tend to like what they don’t have.
In conclusion, as I mentioned above, I am convinced of that what people have never satisfies them. First, new items are getting available one after another today. Second, people tend to like what they don’t have.
