Boys and girls should go to separate schools
In the grown-up world, the ability to understand different point of view and get along with both female and male is important. Co-education gives an opportunity for children to interact with different gender people and thus helps children better equipped for the future.
Interaction with different gender people can be a distraction for studying, but that distraction can happen even after they finish all the education and start working. Thus, I disagree with the idea that boys and girls should attend separate schools.
Firstly, it is helpful to have a deep understanding toward different sex when they become adults. Science tells us that men and women tend to to take different approach toward things and have different strength. For example, boys tend to be good at logical reasoning, while girls tend to be good at sympathizing others. The approach that works well to boys may not work effectively to girls. In co-education, boys and girls can have many chances to learn this through daily interaction. When they become adults, they can effectively deal with communication with people in different sex since they developed an accurate and practical understanding toward different gender. On the other hand, people who went to boys or girls school may have face difficulties because they luck the experience of interacting with people in different gender.
Secondly, people who went through co-education tend to be more mature about romantic relationships, while people who went to boys or girls schools often luck the skills. People who went through co-education from elementary school to college have more opportunities to date with boys or girls, and very likely to experience a number of romantic relationships. The opportunity is limited for people who went to boy school or girls schools, and in my experience, people from such environment tend to act oddly when they get into romantic relationship and can easily be taken advantage of. Thus, I think co-education can better equip children for romantic relationship.
For the reason discussed above, I disagree with the idea that boys and girls should go to separate schools. I think co-education is more beneficial to children for their future.
