Nowadays, customer complaints are on the increase due to the low-quality products and poor services. To some people, written complaints are much preferable to verbal complaints. In the same way, I might prefer to write a complaint letter. My essay will outline three main reasons.
In the first place, to my way of thinking, it would be an example of going in one ear and out the other situation. By this, I mean to make their words heard, one had better write them. Take labor complaints, for instance they occasionally complain that they are regularly paid late. They try to make the matter up with their manager; however, their appeal to get paid falls on deaf ears because the manager almost always forgets any expression of dissatisfaction in verbal form.
In the second place, you can make your complaint legal by writing an official letter which is signed by a large number of complainants. There is no doubt that legal words written on a piece of paper could leave everyone with a great impression; also they could serve a living proof in court.
Last but not least, in most cases, the company one purchases a product from might not have representatives available in their neighborhood. Therefore, writing a complaint letter could seem as an effortless journey. For instance, if you complain of FedEx services, writing a letter with complaints seems easier than going to Arkansas and talking the managers down.
To wrap it up, I prefer to complain as little as possible, but just in case, a written form of complaining outdoes complaining face to face. That is because a formal complaint letter sounds impressive, legal and simple enough.
