Attending a live performance
Some people may argue that attending a live performance is more enjoyable than watching the same event on the television. However, personally, I disagree with the opinion for two reasons.
First and foremost, seeing a live performance on the television enables us to watch the even from various perspectives in many senses. With regard to a angle from which we see the live or game, we can enjoy seeing the fantanstic performance from different angles. As the television program has a lot of cameras, it provides suitable angles for the situation. Furthermore, we are able to see the performance with additional information. In case of the sports game, we can see each player’s grades or tendency depending on their conditions. Also, we have access to the statics of players’ past achievement and their career. Having useful information makes seeing the performance further amazing. By contrast, attending a live performance makes it difficult to see the detail of the game. Even if we have a privileged seat, we sometimes miss the important scenes, which is common in the sports game and other performance.
Secondly, we can enjoy watching the event on the television in various ways. When it comes to participating in the real event, we have to sit on assigned seats and obey the rules in case of music performance. On the other hand, we have various ways of enjoying such events when watching it on TV. We are not constrained to some severe rules and are able to talking with friends. For instance, I often have a perforsonal theater in my house with my friends. Everytime, we choose one favorite movie and have a personal show. During the show, we can enjoy talking with each other, which is sometimes irrelevant to the content of the show. Therefore, watching the event on the television gives us different ways of enjoying the event.
In conclusion, I am opposed to the statement that seeing a live performance in the place it is performed is more enjoyable than watcing the same event on the television. What I want to argue is that the television program gives us different perspectives and supplemental information to enjoy it better and that we can enjoy watching it on the television on our own ways.
