Ever since the civilization, people pay increasingly more attention to get better education. In contemporary society, the debate over whether better facilities or famous teacher can make more contribution to the development of students is heating up. At the sight of this view, I think twice and decide to vote for hiring famous teachers.
First of all, there is no doubt that teachers play a significant role in education, without the help of teachers, most of us wouldn't get the amount of knowledge we have learnt these years. And from my opinion, a famous teacher can bring a lot to students. Have written down these, I can recall my mind a very good example to demonstrate it. In 1930s, China had a very famous university named Southwestern United University which had plenty of famous teacher and more famous students. Even though the period of that time is in war China was involved in the war, which means that the facilities there that time was not advanced, even poor, many famous students who is even more famous than their teacher are very strong proofs to illustrate the importance of famous teacher for students.
Furthermore, it's undeniable that famous teachers will have an enormous effect on the construction of the university. At least in China, the number of famous scholars determines the financial support and the academic reputation of the university. Sufficient financial support and good academic reputation will definitely increase the chance of development not only for the school but for other teachers who have the possibility to become famous teacher in the future.
Last but not least, as the old saying goes "every coin has two sides", convenient facilities have negative effects too. I hold the strong believe that students need some kind of stimulation which kind poor facilities is suitable for. Students will not be very grateful for how advanced these facilities are but continue pursuing something they don't have which will not end and waste students’ time in study. For example, in ancient time, there was no facilities to say, but people are more energetic and patient in what they were doing, nowadays, students are easy to slack off and lose their patience as long as they face some problems, I insist that this mood is concerned with the advanced facilities.
Have written down these, we may draw the safe conclusion that hiring famous teachers is a more positive plan for the development of school and students than improving facilities.
