Basic to any understanding of the formal education of children is what is the suitable time for them to begin. The children should begin their formal education at a very early age or should begin at the usual age is arguing recently. In my point of view, children begin their formal education at the usual age and should spend most of their time playing.
The most significant reason to support my opinion is the young children can not afford the ponderous burden and press that the formal education brings to. In the formal education, children should concentrate on at least 40 minutes at one time to listen to the teacher, finish the homework after class or maybe late at night and so on, which the young children too young to afford. For example, a four years old child, who needs a ten-hour sleep everyday, begins his formal education. To finish his homework, he has to work late at night and get up early in the morning, which results to an eight-hour sleep that a seven years old child needs. In this case, the four years old child does not sleep enough to fit for his growth. So, beginning formal education at early age is no good for young children.
On the other hand, playing games can live the young children, relax them and make them learn from the interests while playing. In the formal education, there are too many rules to restrain the young children. For example, once a young child begins his formal education, it means that he must sit quietly in the class for almost whole day, do everything as the teachers told and the like, which make him lose the characters the young children should have, such as live, active.
In conclusion, I truly believe that young children should begin formal education at the usual age and spend most of their time playing, because it is natural and logic. Beginning the formal education at early age is no good for the mental and physical development of children.
