As we all know, people have different daily routine. Some of them prefer to get up early in the morning and start their work right away. While others sleep till midday but they can work all night long. Personally, I like better to get up later in the day and work until late at night.
In my country, Bulgaria, people who prefer to get up early in the morning are called `early birds` while the others are named `night birds`. During my school and university years getting early in the morning was a great obstacle for me because I have always been a `night bird`. Moreover, getting up in a winter morning when it is still dark outside was a real challenge with elements of an adventure. As a result from my unclear morning thoughts I often had lower test ratings if exams began in earlier classes.
However, things changed when I began to study at university. At this time I discovered that I worked better if I had slept more in the mornings. Thus, I could study whole afternoon and what is more, all night long. In the dark and peace of night I barely noticed the clock so that the first sun ray became my signal that it was time for bed.
Since I have always suffered that I am inadequate early in the morning I try hard to change my daily routine. The reason is that I worry how I would cope with my obligations at work. Finally, I learned how to focus all my energy on my duties ignoring the fact that my body sits behind the desk at work while my spirit is deeply asleep in my bed.
Recently, a medical journal dispelled my misgiving that I am an inordinate person explaining that being a `night bird` is a part of human nature and there is nothing to worry about. Although I still prefer to get up later in the day and work or study until late at night, I continue making efforts to change my inner clock.
